French mantel clock with a black slate case. This material is completely authentic for the period of manufacture (1850/1900) and its polished appearance has often been confused with marble, including by us. We respectfully draw your attention to the delicate gold plated exposed movement visible from the front. The white enamel dial and overall case are also in simlarly excellent condition.
Condition Report: Please see above, plus timekeeping is very good, however the chiming is inconsistent. e.g. five bells at 9 oclock. All clock with chimes have the option of turning off thia function as this is often utilised overnight for example. Or, it may be an easy fix. This clock was overhauled in 2019.
Dimensions are 54c high x 35c wide and 13c deep.
