Hand Coloured Engraving Cartoon Thomas Rowlandson

A hand colored cartoon by English engraver and artist Thomas Rowlandson, featuring his fictional character  Dr Syntax. Portraying village customs in England in the early 1800.s in a satirical fashion.

There are extensive notes on the reverse of what looks like a 1960/70 frame. 

Condition Report: Frame, reverse paper and adhered notes are worn. The artwork itself appears intact and in good order.
