Romantic scene of hills, palms, and sea in a moonlit bay in Bali, Indonesia. A moment in history, documented by competent artist Mr Frederik Kasenda in 1933. Painted in oil on masonite, still in it's correct for the period, wooden frame. 

Frederik Kaseda (1891/1942), born in the Netherlands, painted extensively in this area and adjascent countries in the period between the two world wars. His work has come up at many auctions (including Christies) over the last few decades.
