A Victorian burr walnut fold-over card table with crossbanded top, string inlay detail, and a storage drawer fitted below the top. Supported on a cluster column base with outswept legs on castors.

History

Card tables of this type were a staple of Victorian drawing rooms, designed for an evening of cards and compact enough to fold away afterwards. The storage drawer is a practical addition not always found on pieces of this type.

Condition report:

The burr walnut veneer has some lifting and surface wear to the top. The base is in great condition.
